Mtkvarze (“on the Mtkvari”) is a Tbilisi club and cultural venue open since 2012, set in a 1950s riverside building that was once a Soviet-era fish restaurant. Large windows give the floor panoramic views over the river and city.
The venue runs club nights across two rooms with non-commercial music, mostly techno and house, hosting local and international DJs and VJs. It also operates as a cultural hub with art exhibitions and film screenings, and has twice been named Best Venue at the Electronauts awards.
