The ‘gobi’ is one of Shavi Lomi’s signature offerings: a wooden plate filled with an assortment of Georgian starters including cheese, cornbread, pkhali and walnuts. It is the restaurant’s showcase of traditional appetisers presented in its modern style.

Shavi Lomi, opened in 2011 by chef Meriko Gubeladze, is widely credited with sparking Tbilisi’s modern Georgian food revival, and the gobi is a frequently cited example of its approach.
