Telasi is the electricity distribution company for Tbilisi, carrying power across the capital’s grid to more than 460,000 customers. Its remit is the transport of electricity and the maintenance, operation and modernisation of the distribution network rather than the retail sale of energy.
The company operates dozens of high-voltage substations, thousands of transformer substations and thousands of kilometres of grid, with customer service handled through business centres in each district of the city. Distribution tariffs are set by Georgia’s national energy regulator.
