Customers hand in an old smartphone or gadget, which Breezy evaluates and grades, and the appraised value is applied as a discount or down payment toward a new device.

Each device is run through dozens of diagnostic checks before grading, giving customers a transparent valuation rather than an arbitrary offer. The service is available both directly through Breezy and via partner electronics chains across the country.

The model lets buyers offset the cost of an upgrade while keeping older devices in circulation rather than discarded.
