Center for Neurology, Neurosurgery and Psychiatry

The Center for Neurology, Neurosurgery and Psychiatry at M. Iashvili Children’s Central Hospital is described as the only pediatric center of its kind in Georgia, serving patients from birth to age 18. It treats epilepsy and paroxysmal disorders, cerebral palsy, neonatal neurological disorders, neuromuscular diseases, pediatric headache and neurodegenerative conditions.

The hospital developed a diagnostic and management standard enabling cerebral palsy to be diagnosed in infants under four months, rather than the usual 12–24 months. The team includes neurologists, epileptologists, neurosurgeons, geneticists and psychiatrists working together with advanced diagnostic equipment.
